We have entered an exclusive import and sales agreement with PAPRICA LAB

Anzai Medical has entered an exclusive import and sales agreement with South Korea’s PAPRICA LAB. PAPRICA LAB was founded by physicians and medical physicists from the Department of Radiation Oncology at Seoul National University, and it develops and sells a variety of products that support radiation therapy.

Going forward, Anzai Medical will introduce PAPRICA LAB’s products into the domestic market after obtaining the necessary approvals, certifications, and notifications in accordance with the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act.

Nagoya Proton Therapy Center

Today, Anzai Medical had the opportunity to introduce our latest products such as OncoSoft’s OncoStudio, ABLE AP, AZ-M1PP, and AZ-M2to the doctors, physicists, and technologists at Nagoya Proton Therapy Center.

Dynamic chest phantom for motion tracking

This system models the respiratory motion of lung tumors and pulmonary vessels, allowing for imaging of a phantom that simulates the human thorax, with independent multi-axis control of both tumor and lung movement.

Regulatory Certification Obtained for AI Contouring Software OncoStudio!

OncoStudio was certified as a medical device by the Korean company Oncosoft in February 2022 and is currently being used in approximately 30 major hospitals in Korea. In radiation therapy planning, accurate organ contouring is extremely important. This program utilizes AI based on deep learning algorithms to automatically extract organ contours from patient CT images with high speed and precision.

It enables rapid automatic processing from importing CT images to exporting them to treatment planning systems. OncoStudio received second place in last year’s JASTRO AI Auto Contouring Trial, and its technological capabilities have been recognized in Japan as well.

One of our ongoing research themes is the development of a method to automatically extract tumor contours by building a large-scale machine learning model that combines textual descriptions of tumor characteristics with patient images.
